Welcome to our FAQ for roll-off dumpsters. Here you will find our company’s and services’ most frequently asked questions. This section also contains answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding dumpster container rentals.
How did you start renting out dumpsters?
Our company Sacramento Dumpster Rentals Whiz initially started as a third party cleaning service for upscale restaurants, hotels, schools and other businesses. As the operation progressed, we noticed that there was a lack of roll-off dumpsters for rent despite good demand for it. We often find ourselves throwing out the trash and dumping them into overfilled dumpsters. Soon thereafter, we invested in dumpster rentals to meet our customers’ needs.
What Dumpster Rental Do You Need?
As we serve many customers, we know that not everyone needs the same dumpster size. We offer a large selection of dumpster rentals for your project specifications.
If you’re a homeowner, then a 10-yard dumpster is great for spring cleaning. You might want a 20-yard dumpster for a larger home improvement project, while a 30-yard dumpster is ideal for complete home renovations.
If you’re a business owner, get a 10-yard dumpster for any small renovation project, a 20-yard dumpster for an office cleaning, or a 30-yard dumpster for a complete remodel.
If you’re a construction contractor, we recommend the 40-yard dumpster. This will help with demolition, roof replacement, or any large construction projects.
What Can We Do For You?
As part of our dumpster rental service, we deliver the dumpster to your location of choice, pick it up when you’re done, and get rid of all the accumulated waste. That means no hassles or inconveniences for you.
We also offer over 20 years of service in the dumpster rental industry. Whether that means you have a special waste challenge or need recommendations on what dumpster size to rent, we use our expertise to help you with any request or concern you have.

What does it cost to rent a dumpster?
The price of a dumpster depends on a number of things, such as the size of the dumpster, the weight of the trash, how long you rent it for, and any taxes or fees you have to pay in your area. This means that the exact price of a dumpster will depend on where you live and what you want. We offer simple flat-rate pricing on all of our dumpster sizes, so you’ll always know the full price up front, no matter where you are or how much you’re getting rid of. On our Pricing page, you can find the prices for your area. For a free quote, call (916) 584-9269.

Does someone have to be there when things are delivered or taken away?
It is best, but not necessary, to have someone on site when the roll off dumpster is delivered or taken away. The driver will use his best judgement to put the roll-off dumpster in the safest place where it can be reached. If the dumpster needs to be moved, you will be responsible for all of the costs involved. For removal, the customer agrees to give the roll-off dumpster free access on the day it is to be picked up. If you can’t get to the roll-off dumpster, you will have to pay for a wasted trip.
What dumpster sizes do you offer?
We offer four sizes for residential, construction and commercial uses: 10 yard, 20 yard, 30 yard and 40 yard.
How do I know what size dumpster to rent?
Call us up to discuss your project, and our customer service team can help you choose the best dumpster for the job.
How much does a dumpster cost?
The cost of a dumpster is made up of several factors: the size of the dumpster, the weight of the debris, the length of the rental period and local taxes and fees. This means that the exact price of a dumpster varies according to location and the specifics of your order. No matter where you’re located or how much you’re disposing of, we offer simple flat-rate pricing on all of our dumpster sizes, so you’ll always know the full price up front. Also, keep in mind that each dumpster has a weight limit. These limits allow for a lot of weight but if you should go above the limit, there is an extra charge.
How do I rent a dumpster?
All it takes is a quick phone call. Our customer service representatives will help you choose a dumpster size and set up your order within minutes.
Will my dumpster have a door?
Most of our dumpsters feature a door that can be opened to carry in items that are too large to toss over the side. The door is located on the end that rolls off the truck first. You’ll need at least eight feet of space in front of the dumpster to open the door completely.
What is the best way to load my dumpster?
It’s best to load a dumpster as evenly as possible. This will allow you to fit more debris inside and help to ensure you don’t overload the dumpster. It’s also important to make sure that no items hang over the side or stick up over the top of the container, since this can make it dangerous for the hauler to pick up the dumpster. Please note that you may be charged an additional fee if your container is overfilled.
Do I need a permit?
You will need to contact your municipality to see if you need a permit for your dumpster.
What do I get aside from the dumpster?
The rental of a rolloff dumpster includes a one-time pickup and delivery date. Standard disposal and fuel fees, along with state taxes are already included in the price. You may request an itemised price list so that you can select the necessary service you need. If there are specific services that you require and are not on our list, please feel free to contact us and we can set up an arrangement for you.
Is It Possible That A Dumpster Could Damage My Driveway?
You can protect your driveway by laying plywood down so that the container can be placed on top of it. During the hot summer months, the weight of the container or the truck can leave indentations in asphalt driveways, which can lead to cracks. The best approach to protect your driveway from damage is to lay plywood over it.
Is there a correct way to put things in a dumpster?
The best way to fill a dumpster is evenly. This will let you put more trash inside and make sure you don’t fill the dumpster too much. Also, make sure that nothing sticks out of the sides or top of the container. This could make it dangerous for the hauler to pick up the dumpster. Please keep in mind that you may have to pay extra if your container is too full.
Should I be home when they deliver or pick up?
You don’t have to be there for the delivery or pickup. On the day of delivery and pickup, just make sure that the spot where you want the dumpster to go is clear and not blocked by cars or anything else that might get in the way. Please also make sure the dumpster is properly filled, with nothing sticking out of the top or hanging over the sides.
Should I put plywood down?
You don’t have to put plywood or anything else down where you want the dumpster to go. But we do recommend it because it will help keep the surface from getting scraped or scratched.

Can I ask for more dumpsters?
If your dumpster gets full before your project is done, you can call our office to schedule a service to empty it and bring it back. You can also order more dumpsters if the size and scope of your project changes.
Can a dumpster sit on an incline?
Most of the time, we can put a dumpster on an incline as long as the ground is flat and the slope is less than 15%. A good test is to see if the cars in your driveway need a parking brake. If they do, we can’t put a dumpster there. Be aware that it’s always up to the driver to decide whether or not your driveway is dangerous.
Do I have to be there for delivery and pickup?
No, you don’t have to be there for pickup or delivery. When you place your order, we’ll write down where you want it dropped off and tell the driver to do so.
What are your services?

We also have front-loading dumpsters for businesses that need to get rid of trash on a regular basis. There are 2 yard, 4 yard, 6 yard, and 8 yard containers for front loads.
How do I order a dumpster for a short time?

Bills for commercial front-load dumpsters are sent out once a month. You’ll get a bill every month, and the date listed is when your credit card payment will be processed.
How will I find out how heavy the bin is?
If you fill it with concrete and dirt, each cubic yard weighs about one tonne, so a 10-yard bin filled with inert materials weighs about 10 tonnes.
Will you empty the bin and bring it back during my week-long rental?
Our price includes keeping the bin on site for a week and dumping it once.
When will I get a trash can?
It’s always helpful to have at least 24 hours’ notice. But if you call in the morning, we can usually bring your bin out that same day. Most calls in the afternoon can get bins the next morning.
What kinds of things are dangerous?
Electronic waste (e-waste), paint, oil, chemicals, petroleum products, asbestos, gardening tools, car fluids, batteries, household cleaning products, medicines, and light bulbs are all examples of dangerous materials. For tires, you have to pay extra. Go to www.ciwmb.ca.gov to find out how to get rid of hazardous waste, or your city may offer hazardous waste collection.
